Before using Mogmachine our web presence was pitiful, as it was nothing more than a front page with some basic (and quite often out of date) text. However Marcus has turned it into something to be truly proud of and it is now used daily as a sales tool. It is also not just a generic website as so many others are, it has been personalised around us, and it is always very easy to add new parts, or equally remove things from the website which we feel may have become redundant or could be upgraded.

The service that Marcus provides is also excellent and whenever any issues or questions arise he is often just an email or phone call away. I would be more than happy to recommend Marcus to any company.

We are so grateful to have Marcus as our webmaster and we very much consider him part of our team. His commitment is second to none and no request ever goes unanswered. He works really hard on our projects, is totally reliable and still manages to be kind and patient even when we change our mind for the 100th time! Quite simply, he’s the best.

I recently undertook a series of training modules for web development, HTML and CSS with MG.

I had previously had little experience of such training for web development other than intensive, public courses over a period of 2/3 days. My initial expectations were not very high but thought I might be able to enhance my skills for some larger scale projects within the organisation. However, the benefits of using MG on a 1:1 basis began to materialise from the outset. We were able to tailor the training to specific requirements I had for the organisation’s HR intranet which made the exercise infinitely more relevant and enjoyable.

MG is very knowledgeable about his core subjects and brings a breath of fresh air to the training environment. No stuffy classes where you are tempted to snooze off mid afternoon. The sessions are engaging and relevant because they are tailored to the individual client, you remain motivated (propelled even) by MG’s enthusiasm for the subjects at hand. Always ready to digress on a point of interest or contention but willing to investigate further to help you understand a particular concept or method to resolve your web issues.

I would have no hesitation in recommending him to other corporate clients.

Mog het van die begin af n indruk op my gemaak. Hy het n baie deegsaam en

en vrywillighied om sy studente binne en buite die klaskamer te help is regtig
op n vlak wat ek nog nie ervaar het nie, en dit het my net meer aangespoor om
meer moeite in my werk in te sit.

Mog made a very strong impression on me right from the start. He’s got a very
energetic attitude towards life which was a great source of inspiration . His
enthusiasm and willingness to help his students both inside and outside the
classroom is truly on a level I have not experienced before, and it just
motivated me more to put extra effort into my work.

Marcus is a brigfht and intuitive instructor who applies real world
applications to everything he teaches. He not only is patient but is
very clear as to what his take on all aspects of his knowledge are and
is willing to research an area he himself has yet to cover.

His teaching style is open and communicative and leaves no one in the
class behind adapting to all levels of knowledge with ease. His manner
is inclusive and leaves the student with a sense of achievment at the
end of the course.

Overall Marcus is a great knowledge enabler and a good teacher I
highly recomemend his services.

When Mog started teaching us, the whole class was pretty demoralised by the previous module (Flash/ActionScript) which had not been taught well. However Mog’s very positive attitude soon turned this around and we cantered through PHP/SQL/MySQL using some practical and useful exercises like login, upload, and content management. As well as knowing PHP/MySQL and web techniques in general, Mog is very good at relating all this to the real world, and the sessions on customising open source packages like ModX and on Flash Video were particularly interesting. All in all, Mog is a good lecturer and made the module enjoyable, the class will miss him!

It’s been a great time at SAE Institute London during my diploma course. Having you as a teacher and mentor was a real privilege. All students are very impressed with your knowledge, experience within Multimedia.
I like the way you teach and make a study enjoyable. Being very “down to earth” and easy to talk tutor. Always with a sense of humour and able to turn things up side down to make us understand. I’ve completed my diploma with a good mark because I was lucky to have you as a lecturer during my study. Therefore I’ll be always very obliged.
