The KFTZ
The KFTZ is the new governing body for kite sports in Tanzania and Zanzibar, and those who have been following my travels will not be surprised to learn of my involvement in the creation of this site.
The aim was simple, to quickly and effectively deploy a site that conveyed all of the required information and provided a firm web presence for a newly emerging organisation with a very rigid budget. the rigid budget turned out to be zero, but due to my involvement in development of the kitesurfing and associated tourism is this area and my ever increasing proximity to the area it was an obvious choice to volunteer my services in creating the online front for the organisation and do what I could to help it to grow in this area by providing support and consultancy on the areas of social marketing and the integration and deployment of these techniques.
Finally, this project also gives me a chance to expand my horizons in the field of global web development and deployment and the considerations and choices one must make when developing for Africa, from Africa.
